Since she was a child, Chinese medicine has always had a presence in Alisa’s life. Her first memory of Chinese medicine was in grade school when she sprained her finger playing basketball. She went home with a painful, swollen finger that she could not unbend. That night her grandmother applies an herbal liniment that her grandfather made literally from dried plants to her finger. To her surprise, the next morning her finger felt like nothing happened to it. Since then, she has always been fascinated by alternative medicine. It wasn’t until she was diagnosed with PCOS in her mid-20s did she fall in love with Chinese medicine and learned how effective it was in healing her symptoms of PCOS. Her struggles with PCOS has made her passionate about women’s health at all stages of life.  Her focuses include, but are not limited to, reproductive health, PCOS, pregnancy support, post pregnancy support, PMS, pain, insomnia, digestive issues, mental health, and stress.

Alisa earned a Master in Acupuncture and Masters in Chinese Herbal Medicine in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Co. Alisa is nationally board certified as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine by the NCCAOM and is licensed in the state of Colorado. Her education consists of 3000 hours of classroom instruction and 1100 hours of combined observational and actual practice. Her training includes acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, auriculotherapy, guasha, tuina, facial rejuvenation, nutrition, and herbal medicine.
